Park Slope parents on high alert while trick-or-treating

PARK SLOPE - Some Brooklyn parents say they let their children go trick-or-treating this evening, but that they worried about the threat of sex offenders.

Park Slope has been the site of a string of sexual assaults against women in recent weeks.

Other parents say they took precautions such as not letting their children go alone and by trick-or-treating earlier in the evening.

They say that they just don't feel as safe as they used to in the neighborhood in light of the recent crimes.
