Parks Department on clean up duty

SUNSET PARK - With the Fourth of July over, the Parks Department is hoping residents continue to pick up their trash before leaving the city's parks.

Independence Day is easily the busiest day of the year, Parks Department officials say, but residents returned Sunday as workers rushed to clean up Sunset Park and other parks around the borough.

While workers spent the day whisking away trash, they encouraged residents to make sure they enjoy the park without leaving garbage.
