The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation says it is investigating an Internet threat that claims poison has been placed at dog runs

BROOKLYN - The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation says it is investigating an Internet threat that claims poison has been placed at dog runs around the city.

The threat was posted on the Craigslist ?Rants and Raves? section. Now, dog owners are wary about taking their pets to the Hillside dog run in Brooklyn Heights.

The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation says is is investigating, but hasn?t yet found any evidence. Staff members have notified dog run groups and users of the parks. Additional workers are also spot-checking dog runs.

The department says anyone who sees any suspicious activity should notify a staff member.
