Passenger fatally stabs cab driver in the eye in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE - Police say a cab driver has died after being stabbed in the eye by a passenger in Brownsville.

A witness says the cab driver crashed into a building on Lott Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Police say the unidentified victim, who worked for Freedom Car Service, was found inside the cab. The two passengers fled before police arrived.

The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
