Pedestrian killed in Atlantic Ave. hit-and-run

BROOKLYN - (AP) - Police are looking for a driver who left thescene after fatally mowing down a pedestrian at a Brooklynintersection.

The accident occurred around 9:15 p.m. Sunday at the corner ofAtlantic and Franklin avenues.

Police say the 51-year-old man was struck by a white Jaguar.

He suffered a head injury and was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name was being withheld until his family could be notified.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
