A vigil was held this evening in memory of New York City pedestrians killed in traffic accidents and also to call for more safety measures. 

The vigil was held on the anniversary of Ella Bandes' death. The 23-year-old was killed a year ago when she was struck by an MTA bus on Wycoff and Palmetto streets in Bushwick.
