A pedestrian was struck and killed late Friday afternoon.

BROOKLYN - A pedestrian was struck and killed late Friday afternoon.

Police say Jernine Pearson, of Wisconsin, was crossing the street at Putnam and Bedford avenues when a dump truck hit her.

The 62-year-old woman was taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. An investigation is ongoing.
