Pedestrian struck, killed in Coney Island

BROOKLYN - A pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross a street in Coney Island this morning.

Police say the victim was walking outside the crosswalk on Coney Island Avenue near Avenue P at around 5 a.m. They say a driver clipped him while changing lanes.

According to investigators, the driver is not being charged. They say the victim is a Hispanic man in his 20s.
