BROOKLYN - A pedestrian was killed in Crown Heights Tuesday night while trying to cross the street in her wheelchair.

According to officials, the 56-year-old woman was struck at Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue. They say she was taken to Kings County Hospital and later died.

Police say the driver remained on the scene and no criminality is suspected.
