Petrosino Park getting $4.5M renovation

A Bensonhurst Park will be getting major facelift after last being renovated in 1993 As part of the Community Parks Initiative, a citywide program designed to improve under-funded parks, Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino Park will be getting a $4.5 million renovation.

BENSONHURST - A Bensonhurst Park will be getting major facelift after last being renovated in 1993. 

As part of the Community Parks Initiative, a citywide program designed to improve under-funded parks, Lieutenant Joseph Petrosino Park will be getting a $4.5 million renovation. 

The renovations will include a brand new basketball court, an adult fitness area and a state-of-the-art playground. 

The park has been used as a public playground since 1935.
