EAST NEW YORK - A man is dead after police say he suffered a medical episode while driving this morning.

Police say Phillip Crucilla, 47, was heading westbound on Sutter Avenue when he went into cardiac arrest and crashed his SUV into a pole. He was found unconscious when police arrived and was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No one else was injured in the accident and police say no other vehicles were involved.
