BROOKLYN - "All of the children with autism and with special needs are our children." That's the motto at one school in Borough Park.
Mom Rivi Friedler is grateful for the Yaldeinu School, where her daughter Esther goes every day. She says the school saved her child, who is autistic and refused to go to other schools. Schoolmate Avromie Kirman has also excelled with the right teachers and surroundings.
Bluma Barhoran, the school's director and founder, says she wants all parents to know that their children have strengths, can have bright futures and can be a huge asset to the workforce, regardless of where they fall on the autism spectrum.
The school was founded in 2006 and currently has 37 students. It also offers monthly parenting support groups.
