BROOKLYN - A fallen Brooklyn hero received a plaque in his honor one year after his death.

Firefighter Paul Warhola died from an apparent stroke while answering a fire call.

He was appointed to the FDNY in 1994 and spent his career working at Engine 221 in Brooklyn. Members of the FDNY, the mayor, family and friends honored his bravery.
