BROOKLYN - Students at Essence School in East New York received a special visit from two NFL players on Tuesday.

New York Jets safety Jaiquawn Jarrett and New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford threw around the football with students as a reward for their successful completion of the NFL Play 60 challenge.

The challenge, which is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association, required students to track 60 minutes of physical activity each day for several weeks.

Students got their exercise both in and outside of school hours, through anything from walking the dog to taking the stairs.

The school also received gym equipment for having their students participate in the challenge.
