Police: 1 recovering after near-drowning at Manhattan Beach

BROOKLYN - Police say a woman is recovering tonight after being rescued from the water at Manhattan Beach.

Emergency responders say they received a call about a possible drowning at Oriental Boulevard. Officials say a nearby swimmer noticed a woman floating in the water and called for help.

Police say the victim was breathing while being transported to Coney Island Hospital. There is no word yet on the woman's identity.
