BUSHWICK - Police say two people are in serious condition after a five-car accident Sunday morning in Bushwick.

According to witnesses, a Mercedes was speeding down Wyckoff Avenue around 8 a.m. when it plowed into a Honda. Ruben Hernandez, one of the witnesses who helped to save the man driving the Honda, says the Honda was slammed into three parked cars, including a white van and two SUVs before it blew up. Witnesses say they heard the driver scream for help while flames engulfed his car.

Bystanders say a man inside the white van was able to escape the vehicle on his own. Police say the Mercedes crashed into a pole a few blocks from the crash.
