CASTLE HILL - Police have made an arrest in connection to the case of a Bronx woman found dead in Brooklyn earlier this week.

Authorities say Merceda Young, 35, of Castle Hill, was discovered underneath a blanket Tuesday morning near Kent and Division avenues. She suffered multiple cuts to her neck.

Police have arrested Young's boyfriend, Alex Jeffrey, 30, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, who is now facing murder charges.

Young's neighbors say the mother of two usually kept to herself.

Police are still searching for the weapon used in the apparent homicide.
