Police have arrested today a 26-year-old man who they say is responsible for fatally shooting an elderly woman in Coney Island more than a year

BROOKLYN - Police have arrested today a 26-year-old man who they say is responsible for fatally shooting an elderly woman in Coney Island more than a year ago.The incident happened at the Surfside Houses in 2009. Police say 87-year-old Anna Surman was in the courtyard of the building feeding her cats when she was struck in the neck by a stray bullet.Malcolm Mitchell, the suspect accused of firing the bullet, faces murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges.
