Police arrest suspect in Williamsburg rape attempt

Police say they've made an arrest in an attempted rape on Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg.

As News 12 has reported, a male suspect was wanted for following a female victim into her apartment building and trying to remove her clothes. Officials released surveillance video of the man as they sought to track him down.

Officials say 21-year-old Hasson Durham was the man seen on the video. He was taken into custody.

The female victim was able to fight off Durham, police say.

Durham is facing multiple charges, including attempted rape.
