Police: Back rent possible motive in East NY murder

EAST NEW YORK - Police are looking into whether back rent played a role in the murder of a 55-year-old woman in East New York.

Police say Jacqueline Wesley-Rosa, 44, shot and killed her tenant Patricia Wilson.

The shooting occurred yesterday on Linwood Street. Grieving neighbors say Wilson was like a watchdog that took care of everyone. Neighbors also say they have seen Wesley-Rosa publicly display a weapon before.

Wesley-Rosa is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
