BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Three reported abduction attempts at a Bedford-Stuyvesant school turned out to be false alarms, according to police.
Authorities say the reports began last week when a P.S./I.S. 308 student said a man tried to abduct her. Police investigating the incident said the girl?s story didn?t add up and determined the report a lie.
This week, police say copycat incidents were reported. They say two groups of girls reported similar stories on Tuesday and Wednesday. Police say those stories didn?t add up either.
The school issued a letter earlier in the week warning parents about the abduction attempts before police determined the reports to be false. Now, parents are wondering why they haven?t received a letter stating the attempts were not true.
The principal of the school has yet to return calls to News 12 Brooklyn.
