Police call East New York shooting 'gang-related'

Police say they know who shot a man Saturday morning near the Penn Wortman Houses on Vermont Avenue and that it is gang-related.According to police,

EAST NEW YORK - Police say they know who shot a man Saturday morning near the Penn Wortman Houses on Vermont Avenue and that it is gang-related.

According to police, 25-year-old Isiah Chapman was found on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds in the back.

Officials say Chapman does have a history of prior arrest. Sources tell News 12 Brooklyn that the suspect is a 39-year-old man, but they would not release his name.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
