Police: Cars vandalized with BB gun in Williamsburg

BROOKLYN - Broken glass is covering several streets in Williamsburg after authorities say nearly a dozen cars were vandalized with a BB gun.

According to a volunteer from the Shomrim Patrol, calls began pouring in at around 1 a.m. Tuesday saying that a dark-colored car was using a pellet gun to shatter the windows of about 10 vehicles.

The Shomrim Patrol says that only Jewish cars were hit and it's hoping the crime is not connected to recent anti-Semitic attacks in the borough.

The NYPD is also investigating and urges anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
