BROOKLYN - Police say a cell phone thief on the loose has struck at several different train stations.
 
Authorities say that all of the victims have been women, and the suspect snatches their phone as the train doors open so he can make a quick getaway.

Investigators say the suspect has hit five stations since last month, four in Queens and one in Brooklyn at the Jay Street Metro Tech Center
 
Police say that the suspect is getting increasingly violent, and in the most recent incident on Dec. 11 he punched a 16-year-old girl in the face before stealing her phone.
 
Police request that anyone with information contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
