Police find man shot in the head in East Flatbush

Officials say they were responding to a 911 call around 6 a.m. when they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive.

BROOKLYN - A man was found dead early Sunday morning in East Flatbush from a gunshot wound to the head, police say.

The 28-year-old was found on Schenectady Avenue near Avenue D.

Officials say they were responding to a 911 call around 6 a.m. when they found the victim unconscious and unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

News 12 is told police are investigating the possibility that the victim may have attended a party before being shot.

The victim's identity will not be released until his family is notified.

No arrests have been made.
