BROOKLYN - A suspect is in custody for Friday’s shooting on an MTA bus in Brownsville.

Police say they arrested the man accused of shooting another passenger in the hand on the B12 bus after a confrontation.

Witnesses News 12 spoke with say the gunshot victim is a hero because he continued to restrain the suspect until police arrived.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital and is expected to be OK.
