Police: Hostage situation resolved in Bed-Stuy

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Police say a hostage situation in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Atlantic Ave. was resolved this afternoon after the suspect left the house in a stretcher.

What started earlier as an argument led a suspect to kick a female out of the house while keeping two children, a boy and a girl, inside.

Specially trained police arrived on the scene at around 11 a.m. After some time, the suspect?s family member entered the home. At around 3 p.m., the two children ran out of the home before the suspect was carried out in a stretcher. His condition remains unknown.
