Police hunt for man in attempted rape at Bedford, Nostrand avenues subway station

Police are on the hunt for a man who they say attempted to rape a young woman at the Bedford and Nostrand avenues subway stop.

BROOKLYN - Police are on the hunt for a man who they say attempted to rape a young woman at the Bedford and Nostrand avenues subway stop.

Investigators have released surveillance video of the suspect, who they say offered to help a 21-year-old carry her bags up the stairs last Thursday. He allegedly tried to sexually assault the victim after she accepted his help, but she screamed and the man fled.

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds.
