BROOKLYN - Police have made a break in the case of a sexual assault from the beginning of this year.

Detectives have identified 24-year-old Rene Bruno as the man who attacked and robbed a 22-year-old woman back in January.

They say Bruno assaulted her as she walked up the stairs from the L train subway station at Lorimer Street, and forcibly stole her cellphone.

Cops also released a photo of Bruno, who is believed to be about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds.
