BROOKLYN - Police have identified a woman fatally struck by an MTA bus in Sheepshead Bay.

Police say 62-year-old Eleonora Shulkina was crossing E. 17th Street around 6 p.m. yesterday. They say Shulkina had the right away when she was hit by a B36 bus making a left turn from Avenue Z.

According to officials, Shulkina suffered a head injury, and she lost consciousness. Authorities say she died at Coney Island Hospital a short while later.

The incident marks the third recent pedestrian death in an MTA bus accident.
