Police: Inactive grenade found in Crown Heights building

CROWN HEIGHTS - Tenants of an apartment building in Crown Heights were evacuated yesterday after police say they discovered a grenade inside.

Police say they found an inactive hand grenade in the basement of the building.  Park Place was blocked off during the investigation, just as a precaution.

There were no injuries during the incident and authorities say everyone was allowed back into the building.

It is not yet known exactly where the grenade came from.
