Police investigate 3 shootings in Brooklyn, 1 fatal

Police are investigating three shootings in Brooklyn. Officials say the first shooting happened at the corner of 7th Avenue and 61st Street last night. They say 68-year-old Yingguan Chen was shot in the head and arm outside of Popeye's around 9:30 p.m.

BROOKLYN - Police are investigating three shootings in Brooklyn.

Officials say the first shooting happened at the corner of 7th Avenue and 61st Street last night. They say 68-year-old Yingguan Chen was shot in the head and arm outside of Popeye’s around 9:30 p.m. Police say Chen later died at Lutheran Hospital. They say the shooter was wearing a black jacket and a pink baseball hat.

According to police, around 10:30 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the face on Gates Avenue in Bed-Stuy. They say there was some kind of dispute before the shooting, and the suspect fled in a gold sedan. Officials say the victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say a third shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. today on Warwick Street in East New York. They say a 20-year-old man was shot in the right knee. He was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he is in stable condition.  

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
