BROWNSVILLE - Police are investigating the death of 8-month-old Taniese Anderson whose body was discovered this morning at a homeless shelter in Brownsville.

The body was discovered by her parents before 11 a.m. at the Camba Flagstone Family Center, an organization that serves homeless and low-income Brooklyn residents.

Investigators were on scene to try and determine why she died and the medical examiner will assist in determining a cause of death.

Police also confirm two other people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries but would not comment on whether they were connected to the death.
