CONEY ISLAND - Police are investigating the death of a woman in her Coney Island apartment this evening.

Police say that 86-year-old Frida Tsirinsky was discovered unconscious and not breathing in her home. While being rushed to the hospital she died.

Investigators say that her son, Yefimy Tsirinsky, strangled her with a pillow.

Police arrested the son but have not said if he has given a motive behind his alleged killing.

He has been charged with second-degree murder and two counts of strangulation.
