Police investigate subway robberies

(08/25/10) BROOKLYN - Police are investigating two subway robberies that have taken place this summer.

Police say a man attacked a woman earlier this month at the Newkirk Avenue station, choked her from behind and then stole her necklace.

They say a man at the Parkside Avenue station was robbed as well. The victim tried to run after the robber who then punched him in the face. He got away with a bag full of cash.

Police ask anyone with any information to call 1-800-577-TIPS.
