BROOKLYN - A fire that started at a Brownsville church is now being investigated as arson.

Parishioners at Global Fire International, which shares the building with Greater New Beginning Baptist Church, say they're heartbroken to learn someone intentionally set their house of worship on fire.

The fire started 3:30 a.m. Saturday and it left the church with a destroyed door and broken windows. Parishioners had to put up a sign Sunday morning saying that services could not be held there.

Members say they hope to have things cleaned up for services on Easter Sunday.
