BROOKLYN - Police say they are investigating an early morning rape in Crown Heights.

The 19-year-old woman claims she was attacked at around 2 a.m. Monday morning as she was trying to hail a cab on Bergen Street. She says a man approached her and used a box cutter to force her up to a rooftop.

Nearby residents say that the building's door does not lock, giving easy access to the alleged rapist. Police are asking anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
