BROOKLYN - Investigators believe that jealousy is what fueled the brutal stabbing deaths of a Sunset Park woman and her four children.

According to police, 25-year-old Ming Don Chen attacked his cousin's wife, 37-year-old Qiao Zhen Li, inside her home at 870 57th St. Saturday night.

Authorities say Chen is a Chinese immigrant who only speaks Mandarin, and has been unable to hold permanent employment since coming to the country in 2004. He is said to have become jealous of the successes of those around him.

Chen is accused of using a kitchen knife in the killings. Three of the children were pronounced dead at the scene, while Li and another child were rushed to the hospital and pronounced dead.

Police have identified the young victims as 9-year-old Linda Zhou, 7-year-old Amy Zhou, 5-year-old Kevin Zhou and 1-year-old William Zhou.

Chen is facing five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of second-degree murder after being arrested at the scene.

Chen was also charged for allegedly assaulting an officer during police questioning. He is being held without bail until his next court appearance this Friday
