BROOKLYN - Police say they have made an arrest in a 25-year-old cold case in Sunset Park.

Police say they arrested 53-year-old Edwin Alcaide in connection with the death of 19-year-old Lissette Torres on New Year's Day 1987.

Torres was found stabbed to death a short distance from her home at 797 Third Ave.

Police say that DNA evidence was used in connecting Alcaide with the murder.

Alcaide is charged with second-degree murder and is due in court tomorrow.
