Police: Man accused of breaking into cars at private parking garage

Police are searching for a man accused of breaking into several cars in the borough. Neighbors say it happened on Thursday at around 6 a.m.

BROOKLYN - Police are searching for a man accused of breaking into several cars in the borough.

Neighbors say it happened on Thursday at around 6 a.m. inside a private parking garage at 400 Rugby Road. They say he had to actually climb over a barb wired fence just to get to the cars.

Based on surveillance video, the suspect is described as a black man who appears to be bald. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt and carrying a light gray backpack with yellow lining.
