Police: Man admitted to beating child

BED-STUY - Prosecutors say the man accused of killing 2-year-old Aiyden Davis admitted today to beating him.

Reginald Williams, 31, is charged with killing Davis after police found him dead on Friday night. Prosecutors say Williams admitted to punching and body-slamming the toddler but has pleaded not guilty. Williams' lawyer says some of his statements were taken out of context.

The medical examiner ruled the death a homicide after discovering "blunt force trauma injuries."

Davis' mother, Teresa Foster, is being held on assault and child endangerment charges.
