BROOKLYN - Police arrested a man who they say fired shots Friday night outside of a public housing complex in Brownsville.

Authorities say that when they arrived, the 32-year-old man fired shots into the air and refused to drop his weapon.

An officer fired two shots but didn't hit the man.

Police officers were able to take him into custody after a foot chase through the area.
