BROOKLYN - Police say they arrested the man who fled the scene of a fatal accident.

Officials say 26-year-old Richard Williams was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee at around 9 p.m.

They say Williams was crossing Rockaway Parkway along Glenwood Road when he hit 49-year-old Ian Paul Bubb who was trying to cross the street outside of a marked crosswalk.

Police say Bubb was taken to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead.

Williams is facing charges for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
