BROOKLYN - Police say a man was fatally shot late Saturday night in Scarangella Park.

Officials say 30-year-old Daquan Spencer was standing near Avenue V and Stillwell Avenue just after 1 a.m. when he was shot multiple times in the head and torso.

Spencer was found unresponsive when police arrived at the scene. He was then taken to Coney Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Residents say Scarangella Park is known for weekend parties and that people have been shot there before.
