EAST NEW YORK - Police are investigating a shooting today in East New York involving a man who was hit by a bullet, but managed to escape. Authorities say after the victim got caught in the crossfire on Bradford Street, he ran down the block to a deli. He then walked a short distance to a medical facility, where EMS staffers say he was treated. They also say they called 911, prompting a police response. The man was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. So far, police say no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
