BROWNSVILLE - Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday on Sutter Avenue, between the NYCHA Langston Hughes and Brownsville Houses.

Police say a man is his 30s was shot in the chest a little after 5:00 a.m. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the male perpetrator is still on the loose.

Neighbors who spoke with News 12 say they're disappointed in the recent spike in violence.
