A man was stabbed multiple times in the chest during a robbery in Brooklyn, according to police (8/2/16)

BROOKLYN - A man was stabbed multiple times in the chest during a robbery in Brooklyn, according to police.

It happened on Berry Street and North 5th Street in Williamsburg around 2:15 a.m. Monday.

Police say three men walked up to the victim and stole his cellphone before stabbing him.

The men drove off in a silver car.

Police say the victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
