BROOKLYN - Police are hoping surveillance video will lead them to the person responsible for a string of burglaries at Crown Heights businesses.

Police say at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, a man pried open the security gate at the Apple Samsung Doctor Guy store and took seven cellphones, two laptops and thousands of dollars worth of other electronics.

On Oct. 29, investigators say the same suspect also broke into Meme's Health Nibbles and stole three iPads, an iPod and $800 before taking off.

One repair shop owner says the thief not only stole from his store, but also from people in the community.
