BROOKLYN - Police say a biological mother who does not have custody of her two children took off with them after arranging a private meeting.

Officials say 29-year-old Simone Morgan met with her children and their uncle at a McDonald's on Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie on Friday. The uncle is the children's legal guardian.

The children's uncle agreed to leave the kids with Morgan for an hour, but when he returned to pick them up, the woman and the children were gone.

Police are now searching for the mother and the two kids, a 10-year-old girl and 8-year-old boy. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
