BUSHWICK - Police say multiple people were injured in a shooting this afternoon near a playground in Bushwick on the corner of Menahan Street and Knickerbocker Avenue.

Witnesses say the shooting stems from an incident that began Friday when a teenage girl's parents, one of whom is a corrections officer, filed a police report about her being bullied at work. Relatives say the men accused of bullying her came back today and opened fire.

Detectives say five people were injured, including the girl's father and step-mother, in the shooting that happened at around 2:20 p.m. Other victims include a 22-year-old man and a woman in her 60s. All are expected to survive, police say.

EMS officials say the victims were taken to area hospitals.

Authorities say the shooter is still on the loose.
